OUR SEMINARS

Understanding Sustainable Palm Oil

On behalf of BM TRADA we're organising a seminar about understanding sustainable palm oil, avoiding the pitfalls and managing risk for your organisation or clients.
Picture

Wellington: Thursday 16 October 2014

This seminar will improve participants’ understanding of sustainable palm oil, avoiding pitfalls and managing risks for their organisations.

Recent opposition to palm oil production on the grounds of deforestation and adverse impacts on endangered species has highlighted the need for a greater understanding of the steps being taken to produce palm oil in an environmentally sustainable manner.

Managing public outrage is something all users of palm oil and related products should be prepared for. Presenters at the seminar will lead discussions that explore this important area of concern and outline how Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification can help, as well as outlining how this scheme compares with other certification programmes.

Participants in this seminar may include:
  • Strategic planners
  • Policy analysts
  • Senior managers
  • Communication professionals
  • Marketing managers
  • Risk management managers
  • Brand managers
  • Raw materials buyers
  • Rural stock feed suppliers
  • Manufacturing and processing managers
  • Import coordinators
  • Retail managers.
Read more detailed information about the seminar here in the attached flyer (257KB), and registration form (17KB).

Please complete and return the registration form for participants from your organisation by Tuesday 30 September 2014.
